Date- Monday, 13 Oct. 1941
This was the first meeting and all we did was basically get everybody's characters ready for action. After everybody was done making their character I decided to put them through a trial run to see how everybody would work out. A small gang of gangsters led by the infamous mob enforcer Diamond Lil decided to knock over the Chicago First National Bank. They barged into the bank, shot the guard and proceeded to order everybody to lie face down on the ground. The robbery was going smoothly until some police who happened to be in the area responded to the bank alarm that the dying guard managed to set off. Police surrounded the bank and a stand off ensued between them and the robbers.
A few hours after the start of the hostage situation the Player Characters all became aware of the bank robbery through various means. Chameleon found out about it on the radio and decided to see if he could help out. Mr. Mentalo had just happened to be depositing some money in his account and happened to be there from the start (coincidence?). Locomotive happened to be going by on his way back from lunch and decided to drop in. As the police negotiated with the robbers, Locomotive decided that he would grab a garbage can and hurl it into the bank, thus distracting the robbers. As soon as he charged past the shocked police and did that, Chameleon who just happened to be standing by waiting for an opportunity such as that darted into the bank and leaped onto the ceiling before anybody noticed him. Mr. Mentalo tried to mind control Scarface Carpacci and convince him to be very frightened. Locomotive managed to capture everybody's attention and Diamond Lil chucked a large oak counter at him, shattering it on his chest with little effect while Scarface Carpacci managed to squeeze off a few rounds at him with his .45. The rubber plant that Diamond Lil sent Locomotive aka Zeph way next managed to ring his bell as it shattered against his chest and he charged her.
While Diamond Lil and Locomotive duked it out, Chameleon dropped down on Vinny the Weasel and knocked him clean into next tuesday. Mr. Mentalo used his migraine power to give Scarface another headache while Rocko Moretti managed to get off a burst of fire from his tommy gun at Locomotive who managed a deft maneuver out of the way. Locomotive managed to KO Rocko while attempting to subdue Diamond Lil who was still trying to pound him into hamburger. Chameleon ran up to Scarface and managed to take his .45 away before giving him the old 'boot to the head' manuever sending Scarface to slumber land. He used the gun on Diamond Lil with no effect and then tried a martial throw on her, putting her on the ground. Locomotive picked up a cabinet or desk (can't remember) and smashed it down on Lil who appeared down for the count. As Locomotive removed the cabinet off of Lil and reached down to pick her up, she pulled a surprise maneuver and grabbed his hand, throwing him at Chameleon who barely managed to get out of the way. As Locomotive picked himself up he charged at Lil preparing to do a move through on her but she grabbed him again and swung him into the adjacent wall, putting him through it. She then took that opportunity to dash out through the hole that Locomotive made for her and bound up to the roof of the adjacent building, getting away.
Chameleon gave chase but lost her, Locomotive left before the reporters could get to him and Mr. Mentalo was left in the bank to answer questions (not as a hero because nobody could see him exhibiting his mental powers but just as on of the terrified bank customers). The reporters had questions about Locomotive who they later dubbed "Zeph" after the Pioneer Zephyr train that runs through Chicago (Only thing that seemed to make sense unless you can give me a better name). There were also questions about Chameleon but nobody got his name as he left the bank and after the reporters heard about him they dubbed him "the Vanisher" (your just going to have to set them straight on that).
