Ep.13- A Tough Day in San Francisco (12/14/00)

Date- 24 Dec. 1941
After beating back the invading Japs the guys are brought in for a debriefing by the base commander and introduced to a few other meta-humans who just happened to be on a top secret mission arranged by the OSS. Unfortunately for Locomotive he missed out on everything due to injuries sustained during the big fight against the Silver Samurai and had missed meeting Cpt. Canondrum and the Flash. They recounted their ordeal at Pearl Harbor and how they lost 2 other guys that they had shipped over with. Fletcher the archer and some guy who could superleap around were killed by Jap Zeroes during the attack. After the briefing the guys are remanded into the custody of the OSS and told that they would be drafted into the military post haste.
Later everybody is flown to California for a publicity tour and War Bond Rally. After weeks of being introduced to America as the latest media darlings the guys are told to go attend a War Bond Ralley on Christmas Eve in Union Square, San Francisco. After being introduced Chameleon goes up to the mike to deliver his speech on buying bonds. After saying his lines a spotlight on the rooftop shines over to a building nearby and Delilah appears as ravashing as ever. She announces to the crowd that her revenge on Chameleon and his friends will soon commence and then springs her spell trap that she had previously set up on the stage and soon Chameleon is trapped in a magical snare and standing over a pentagram. Her minions also take their que and begin coming out of the woodwork and trouncing the local police guys who were there for crowd control. After Chameleon's tranformation into Hell Fire is complete Hell Fire takes a shot at Green Lantern, knocking him for a loop into the awaiting arms for Das Troll who begins to crush him in his embrace. Dog soldiers come up from behind the police and begin ripping through their ranks and soon Flash takes off to save them from going to the dogs. Cpt. Canondrum tries to blast Hell Fire but is blasted in return and sent spinning back to the ground. He throws up a smoke screen but is hit again and has to fly to a rooftop for cover. This doesn't save him and another blast from Hell Fire knocks him out.
Green Lantern tries valiently to break out of Das Trolls grip but is unable to and manages to sink his teeth and claws into the armored lug hide causing him pain. Eventually it is not enough and soon the air is squeezed out of his lungs and he fell unconcious. After that the villains took what they had come for and left the area but not before the Flash was able to knock out a Dog Soldier before it could get away. What secrets could this mongrol creature hold? Hmmm.
Most Memerable Moment- Chameleon being turned into Hell
Fire ought to be on everybody's minds for awhile.
Most Memerable Quote- "Oh Shit" said Chameleon as he was being
turned into the host body for Hell Fire.
