Ep.15- Terror on the Train Part 1 (2/1/01)

Location- On a train to Washington State
Date- 5 Jan. 1942
After fighting Kreiger, the guys were givin two weeks leave before having to report for a physical examination and induction into military service. The train ride to Chicago was uneventful but Locomotive did hear some rumors from some of the workers on the train that strange things were happening on the route. In Chicago the guys settled all of their civilian affairs and went in for induction. They tried to bypass the huge line outside of the induction center but a Navy Corpsman told them to take a hike. After waiting to get through the line they eventually got inside and were poked and proded like they had never been before. Afterwards they were given orders to report for bootcamp in Washington State. They spent the night partying and celebrating their last day civilian life and the next day they were off on a train to the west coast.
During the train ride they began to notice some strange happenings. The rail workers told Locomotive about having strange dreams lately. Canondrum met some strange guy in one of the luggage cars who seemed oddly cold. He searched for the guy for a while but was unable to turn him up. Later that evening all hell broke loose when shots were heard being fired in one of the cars in the rear. Locomotive, Green Lantern, Canundrum, and Mercury dashed to the scene and found the strange guy Canondrum had been looking for standing over a dead young lady and man brandishing a hunting rifle. He managed to squeze off a shot before being grabbed by Locomotive. Crimson Nun also took this opportunity to appear but was quickly rendered unconsious by one blow from the stranger. At that moment he somehow manifested superhuman strength and began going toe to two with the guys before tranforming into a hideous creature with tentacles and claws and a mean disposition. Canundrum managed to rig up a heat gun from pieces of a heater and some stuff off his jet pack. After being doused with alcohol by Mercury and lit on fire by Canundrum's heat gun, the creature took this time to create a hole in the roof of the car and try to escape.
Green Lantern and Mercury took off after him on top of the train.
