Location-  Camp Belvadere, Washington

Date-  13 Jan. 1942- 13 March 1942

After the train fiasco the guys decided to book passage on a plane from Colorado to Washington in the middle of winter.  It was almost as bad as facing the demon on the train but they eventually got into Seattle early in the morning of the 13th.   They then boarded a bus to Camp Belvadere.  The ride was long and bumpy and took them through the mountains to a secluded training camp high up in the Cascade mountains.  The guys were rudely awakened by their Drill Sergeant who introduced himself as Sergeant Kawalski.  He then marched them out to get outfitted and prepared for military life.  After a short breackfast and an even shorter hair-cut they were shown how to make their bunks, stow their gear, and shine their boots.

The first week they spent getting poked and proded by the doctors.  The doctors were able to conclude that Mercury would die of old age after a few years due to his increased metabolism and recomended that he slow down whenever possible in order to prolong his life.  Locomotive learned that his genes were unstable and that it was possible that he was still growing.  The doctors were unable to come up with anything conclusive on Green Lantern or Canondrum.

After weeks and weeks of boot camp monotony it was finally time for the final obstacle course test.  DI Kawalski promised the winner a T-bone steak dinner with all the fixings.  Soon they were off and eventually Mr. Mentalo and Locomotive pulled out in the lead.  Mercury was hindered by a 65 pound ruck sack and eventually got tripped up by it.  Green Lantern was having problems with the ice on the course and Cpt. Canundrum was just having problems with being puny.  Mr. Mentalo eventually won out over Locomotive but gave him the dinner after feeling sorry for him getting tripped up by Mercury.

The next week the went out on a 16 mile forced march out into the mountains.  They found a clearing high up above the tree line and made camp for the night.  DI Kawalski told the guys that if he could sneak up on them and draw a line across their neck with  a marker then they would have special duty when they got back to camp.  During the night DI Kawalski was able to sneak up on Canundrum and mark a line on his neck.  Eventually he settled in and a little after 1am  after the guys changed guard shifts Light Lance went out into the tree line to hit the latrine.  After an inordinate amount of time Mr. Mentalo tried to call him on his mental link but was unable to raise him.  He then decided to wake the rest of the squad and go out to find him.

The guys eventually noticed some strange lights out in the forest and began to chase them.  As they entered a hiltop rise they came upon a strange flying craft with Light Lance trapped in a bubble on top of it.  It noticed them and encased Green Lantern in a bubble.  Canondrum and Mercury ran over to the craft and began trying to free Light Lance while Locomotive grabbed ahold of a wing and brought it down.  It eventually crashed into the hill side and a small explosive whipped out the hardware leaving a large silver sphere lying in the wreckage.  The sphere and wrechage were taken back to  camp for study and Cpt. Canondrum was put into a group of scientists tasked with discovering the crafts origin.  Light Lance experienced a broken leg after the ordeal and was sent to the hospital.  He later had to graduate with another squad.  DI Kawalski was later found unconsious out in the woods.

Afterwards everybody with the exception of Light Lance graduated Boot Camp.

Most Memerable Moment-  Mercury tying Locomotive's boot-laces on the obstacle course.
Most Memerable Quote- "This is my weapon and this is my gun.  This one's for shooting and this one's for fun."
