Location- Moes Wrecking Yard, Police 39th Precint, The Bowling Alley, Shurz HS, Loews Theatre
Date- Sunday, 19 Oct. 1941 through Friday, 24 Oct. 1941
The guys checked out Moes wrecking yard after getting out of the car crusher and found Moe Jessup tied up in his office. They looked around for the Nazi's or their Uber-weapon but were unable to find any clues other then an impression left on a note pad that said "Hunter" on it. Sunday afternoon the guys got together and tried to find out where the Nazi's were hiding out. Mr. Mentalo and Locomotive went to the 39th Precint to try to get them to look for a german diplomatic car but were unable to get anything out of them. They then went to the Federal Building to see if they could find anything there but were unsuccessful. Dervish got to go to the Blue Oyster Bar and get something to drink while the rest of the guys were out and about. Nothing else turned up so they decided to meet up on Friday at the movies to look around some more.
During the week the guys went about their normal business. Chameleon was introduced, by Principle Koplin, to the new school nurse Christi Ford. Locomotive was alerted to an impending strike that the Union was thinking of and that his father would be in on the talks to convince Union leaders out of it due to the war. Dervish ran out of money and went to his brother at the Sacred Heart Clinic to get some from him. That was Bruce Macauleys first day at the Clinic and he met Dr. Zhee (Green Lantern) who was told to show him around. He was interupted by Dervish who he had to give a hand-out in order to get him to go away. Mr. Mentalo on the other hand ran into a strange old man in the mental instution who seemed to know about his mental powers. He tried to get more information abou the old man and talk to him but was unable to get anything out of him.
Friday rolled around and the guys ended up at Loews theater. After the news and a movie, they headed out with the rest of the crowd. Locomotive spotted some guys hustling a young woman and her son over to a 1938 Pontiac sudan with diplomatic plates and notified the rest of the guys that Nazi's were up to no good. They tried fighting through the crowd and Locomotive managed to push his way through as the car began to leave. Dervish was also at the car by now and Green Lantern even tried to grab and stop it but only got ahold of the bumper and almost hit Locomotive with it. Locomotive rammed the car at an angle from behind and forced it to spin around and hit a telephone pole. Chameleon, who had decided to superleap over the crowd, quickly lept of the telephone pole he was standing on as the wires grew taught and snapped. The people inside the car were pretty shaken up by the impact against the telephone pole. Dervish threw open the rear driver side door and grabbed the kid. Mr. Mentalo used his ego blast to make the guys sitting in the passenger to wince in pain. Chameleon took this moment to dive through the front window of the car and smash the driver into unconcousness. Chameleon noticed that the guy sitting next to the driver was John Haflinger, Timmy's dad, and decided to knock him out before he had a chance to recognize him. A gun went off in the back seat and the mother of the boy slumped over, causing Locomotive to become enraged. Locomotive grabbed the last Nazi who was concious and began to torture him for information as to where Dr. Kreiger was located. His brutality (crushing Nazi thugs hand and bending his fingers back till they broke) caused the Nazi to scream in agony and call for help from the terrified movie go-ers who can't see what's going on due to a wall the Green Lanter put up. The guys quickly found out that the Nazi had been sent by Dr. Kreiger and decided to flee the scene.
Green Lantern managed to stabalize the kids mom and Dervish and Chameleon took her and the boy (Nick Hunter) to the hospital. Green Lantern decided to drive to the hospital with Mr. Mentalo to make sure that the mother was alright and that there were no more kidnap attempts on the kid. Locomotive during this time met up with his friends at their favorite bar and asked to them to be his alibi in case anybody (like police) came looking for him.
