Date- Thursday, 30 Oct. 1941
As the guys were piling into Green Lanterns sudan the Nazi's managed to get a few blocks on the two blown tires that Chameleon gave them before stopping and commandeering another car from a surprised motorist. The chase was on then with Green Lantern zipping in and out of traffic trying to keep up with the Nazis as they hurdled half-hazzardly through the canyon like walls of downtown Chicago. They managed to avoid several accidents caused by the Nazis, who managed to pull ahead by a small margin. The Nazis parked in front of the (?) Building and filed into the lobby towing Mrs. Hunter and her son forcefully.
Emerald Dawn noticed this as she was exiting the Womans Athletic Club a half block away and asked her friend Sue to make a call to the police while she tailed the suspects into the building. She followed Chameleon, Locamotive, Dervish and Green Lantern into the building and up to the top floor where the Nazi had gone. On the 38th floor the heroes found a mock construction sign closing off a hallway leading to the roof access stairs and scuff marks on the marble floor where presumably Mrs. Hunter resisted her kidnappers.
Dervish dashed up the stairs and found the Nazis waiting for him and managed to body slam two of them closest to Mrs. Hunter and her son. Unfortunately the force of his attack sent one Nazi reeling off the roof to his death and the other clutching on to the (?) for dear life. The rest of the heroes arrived and started mopping the floor with the Nazi agents. Delillah managed to wrap Dervish up in one of her mystical webs but Chameleon freed him without taking too much damage. Diamond Lil tried to match her strength against Locamotives wrestling savy but got tangled up in a cozy hug for the rest of the fight. Green Lantern faced off against an evil demon bearing his green ring and managed to know him out that the last second. Delillah was pushed off the roof by Chameleon but managed to teleport away to fight another day. An autogyro sent to pick up the Nazis turned away after seeing how the fight was going and all that could be heard of it was the "wop" "wop" "wop" "wop" "wop" of the rotating blades of the Italian made propeller (Tom T, you bad). Emerald got a few good hits in and managed to approprate Delillah's faux mystical staff as a trophy.
In the end the FBI was called in by Locamotive and the crew and Nazi's were picked up for questioning. Dervish took this time to dissapear and told Chameleon where he could be found. Our heroes were kind enough to talk to Agent Saunders at length about their powers, what they'd been doing regarding the Nazis and their operations for the last few weeks and generally spilling their guts out to them. In the end the FBI had to let them go but let them know that they would be called on soon.
