Date- A dark and rainy day on 30 October, 1941
Chameleon had a run-in with Timmy and ended up taking him to Principal Koplin for some 1-on-1 time with Betsy (his paddle). When he got back he noticed that Ryan Hayes wasn't getting enough sleep and was nodding off in class. After lunch Agent Saunders contacted him about a meeting after work. Later that day his Junior english class was disturbed by 2 gunshots from the nurses office. He dashed over and found Christy Ford lying on the floor with nasty claw marks across her chest and the window broken outwards. The rest of the room was a mess.
Locamotive reported to work and defended himself and his dad in the punch-in line from Jack Kimbal who was grousing with everybody else about lack of money and possible strike. Everybody was wearing arm-bands in memory of Mark Matheson and later Locamotive was told by his dad that they would be attending Matheson's funeral. After lunch Agent Saunders contacted him about a meeting after work. Later a strange european looking guy wandered into the yard (Ursari) asking his dad a bunch of questions about some missing Romanian children. Locamotive ended up escorting the guy to the site where the train car that Mark Matheson had been killed had been parked. Ursari ended up finding a baseball cap belonging to a young boy who exhibited feelings of rage, fear and something else quite different. They decided to meet again the next day to discuss the missing children case again and Ursari left the yard for a bite to eat.
Emerald Dawn went to school like normal and ran into Candy Blake who was shooting her mouth off about "that Nip" aka Emerald Dawn. Inside she found her leotards tied up in knots and ended up being late for practice because of it. During practice she got a call from Agent Saunders and a lecture from Dame Cosine about staying out of trouble.
At about 5pm everybody was picked up by FBI Field agents and take to the Federal Building for a briefing on the multiple homicides plaguing Chicago. They went over evidence and decided to check out the crime scenes for some clues. Locamotive took this time to leave for the funeral. At the school they found out that Ryan Hayes had been in to see the School Nurse and that a bottle of sleeping pills had been found spilled out over the floor leading everone to think that Ryan was a lyncthrope. At the Grant Park site where the 2 bumbs had been killed they ran into Ursari and everybody found out what a sceptic Agent Saunders was about magic. He then took them over to the Museum of Natural history where they were escorted in by Fred the night watchmen. Prof. Jurgenson answered their questions about the contents of his shipment of artifacts from South America but was cut off by the crack of thunder and the lights going out. The game ended there with a cliff hanger.
